We are beyond thrilled to announce some exciting news from Coconut Ave: we’ve been officially accepted into this year’s Made in Hawai‘i Festival at the Hawai‘i Convention Center! From August 15th–17th, 2025, we’ll be popping up for three full days of connection, celebration, and aloha—face to face with customers both new and familiar, near and far. To say we’re elated is an understatement. Being part of this iconic event is such an honor, and we are soaking in every ounce of gratitude for this opportunity.

As a small, growing business rooted in island lifestyle and community values, being selected for Made in Hawai‘i Festival means so much to us. It’s more than just a booth—it’s a chance to bring our vision, story, and creations to a wider audience, introduce ourselves to more of the Oʻahu community, and share space with some of the most inspiring Hawai‘i-based makers, designers, and foodies around.

What is the Made in Hawai‘i Festival?

If you’ve never experienced the Made in Hawai‘i Festival before, let us be the first to say: you’re in for a treat!

The Made in Hawai‘i Festival is one of the largest and most beloved showcases of local products in the state. Held at the Hawai‘i Convention Center, this annual three-day event highlights hundreds of local businesses—from handmade goods and artisan foods to fashion, fine art, beauty, and cultural crafts. It’s a celebration of all things made with aloha, creativity, and the diverse spirit of Hawai‘i.

Fun facts:

• Last year, the festival drew over 70,000 attendees, including residents, international visitors, and buyers from around the world.
  
  

• Each vendor is carefully curated—ensuring authenticity, quality, and true local value.
  
  

• There’s live music, culinary demonstrations, and cultural performances throughout the weekend.

Meet Coconut Ave

For those discovering us for the first time: welcome! Coconut Ave is an island lifestyle boutique born from the shores of Hawai‘i Island and built on a deep love for the ocean, slow living, and thoughtful curation. We carry a carefully selected range of women’s and men’s clothing, swimwear, accessories, home goods, and gifts—all inspired by the vibrant yet easygoing island spirit we call home.

Our story began with a dream and a rack of handpicked goods, and in just a couple of years, we’ve expanded to three locations:
🏝 Waikoloa Queens' Marketplace (our flagship, opened March 2023)
🏝 Downtown Hilo (opened September 2023)
🏝 Ala Moana Center on O‘ahu (opened November 2024)

While we’re still new to Oʻahu, we’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received from both the community and our customers there. Being part of the Made in Hawai‘i Festival feels like a huge step in deepening those roots and introducing ourselves to even more hearts across the island—and beyond.

Debuting Our Fall Collection: Salt & Bloom

We couldn’t be more excited to share that the Made in Hawai‘i Festival will also mark the official debut of our Fall 2025 Collection: Salt & Bloom—a collection inspired by the lush wilderness of Hawai‘i and the coastal salt air.

This collection is close to our hearts and features two new signature prints:

🌿 Island Bloom in Jungle – A bold yet romantic floral set against a rich green backdrop. It’s our love letter to the overflowing gardens and untamed blooms that frame our island mornings.

🪸 Ray in Stone – A textured, artistic rendering of the Hawaiian Ray, Hihimanu, symbolizing grace, and motion. The soft stone colorway brings a grounded, neutral tone to this fluid design.

🌴 Coastal Palm in Sand – A breezy, beach-inspired print featuring swaying palms on a soft sand-toned canvas. It captures the golden hour stillness of shoreline drives, early morning surfs, and slow Sundays under the sun.

We’ll have limited pieces available from the collection at our booth—think floaty dresses, elevated everyday wear, and matching accessories. Be among the first to shop it in person and experience the textures and details up close.

Why This Matters to Us

Participating in the Made in Hawai‘i Festival feels like coming full circle. As wahine-owned business owners born and raised on Hawai‘i Island, we started Coconut Ave with a mission to share the lifestyle and creativity of island living in a way that feels personal, warm, and intentional.

Being part of an event that is entirely dedicated to celebrating Hawai‘i-based brands and makers is a dream come true. It’s also a beautiful reminder that no matter how big or small our business gets, we’re still grounded in our love for home, community, and sharing stories through design.

We know how much heart goes into every booth at the festival—from the ʻohana-run taro chip businesses to the handmade lauhala artists to the fellow designers and visionaries. To be side by side with these creatives, telling our story in person, and getting to know yours? That’s the real magic.
